Match summary

Hurricanes finally got back on court after a few weeks not playing for one reason or another!

Hurricanes started off the match with some great passing down court and controlling the game well.  The team picked up a few interceptions and managed to take advantage of this.  The score at the end of the 1st quarter was 11- 8 to Hurricanes.  Oxford Royals picked up their game in the 2nd quarter and gained back a few goals.  Charlotte and Nina worked hard in defence to stop Oxford from taking the lead, but that over head ball seemed to always find their GS.  The 2nd quarter ended 21-20 to Hurricanes.  Entering the third quarter, Hurricanes upped their game with some brilliant passing down the court and Steph controlling the game well.  There was great support from Rachel and Nina who picked up any loose balls and got some great interceptions.  There were some great balls into the attacking D from Steph and Charlie.  Sarah and Leanne worked so well together, finding great spacing in the attacking D, with some fantastic shooting from both of them.  The 3rd quarter ended 40-27 to Hurricanes.  Going into the final quarter Hurricanes kept playing well and worked really hard.  The final score ended 49-33 to Hurricanes.

Well done Hurricanes!  With a few people playing out of position this was a well deserved win, and it was nice to see some good netball from all of you.
